      Three Drexel students have been awarded Gilman Scholarships to study abroad for Winter/Spring 2019. The prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's , awards scholarships to American undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the United States to study or intern abroad during the winter/spring or full academic year of 2019. Congratulations to all of Drexel's Gilman honorees!

      “I am the part-producer of this opera. I have another three operas.”  Kolkata ad man Kanak Bhattacharya was giving a recap of his years working in jatra, a form of traveling folk theatre native to West Bengal and the surrounding regions of eastern India.  About 20 years ago, Kanak started work as a producer of TV series for Bengali television. He had no professional theatre background, and his journey into jatra had a unique start.

In a continuing collaboration between the Office of Global Engagement and International Scholars and Students Services, the Dine & Discover series encourages domestic and international students to share a meal, family-style.

She was awarded two fellowships, the Australia-Americas PhD fellowship, funded by the Australian Academy of Science, and the NSF-GROW (Graduate Research Opportunities Worldwide) fellowship, to pursue this work.

      Olimpia Meucci, MD, PhD (ÌÇÐÄVlog) and Renato Brandimarti, PhD (University of Bologna) received a grant from the University of Bologna to cement scientific collaborations between the two universities.
